The Phrasee website - case study

The Phrasee website was redesigned in spring 2021 for the launch of Phrasee X.

The purpose of the redesign was to increase conversions, and improve education around the Phrasee tech. New design includes increased white space, fewer CTAs to reduce saturation, an improved navigation, and several new pages which explain how Phrasee, and its different products, work and can benefit the user.

Along with the redesign, I created a content plan to improve our SEO rankings. This involved a blog strategy featuring highly-ranked keywords, guest contributors to boost authority, and a video series including guest interviews, webinars, and animated explainer videos (created with the collaboration of a freelance animator) that clearly and concisely explain the Phrasee products. These videos can all be viewed on Phrasee’s Vimeo.

Previously in my three years at Phrasee, we have overhauled the website multiple times to keep up with changing business needs. Above from left to right you can see the design evolving from 2018, to 2019, to 2020. Each redesign involved user testing, collecting requirements from key stakeholders, pitching and presenting my ideas and working closely with a freelance developer to turn the ideas into reality.

With the 2021 version alone, I increased sessions by 15%, reduced bounce rate by 5% and can trace up to 12 new leads a month back to first contact with the website. I did this by focussing on user experience; what does an average visitor of the website want to see? And also by improving our SEO; ensuring we are ranking highly, and for the right things!

Meticulous, creative and data-driven, Amy is a dream to work with on any digital project. In a matter of months Amy was able to both project manage, design, and launch our new website. She’s a born problem solver and will never accept “good enough”. Her expertise in web and SEO was essential in getting our website launched on time, and within budget.
